ABOUT ARTSITE 3
Artsite Unit 6 are a not for profit unit of studios that have featured a diverse community of professional artists and designers located in central Hereford at the bottom of Aylestone Hill.
Artsite3 studios are closing down, however Artsite unit 6 will remain as studios for working artists.
Founded in 2008 by Alfie Hall, Steve & Karen Bourke, and Will & Fiona Hanks, with the intention to provide a platform for new graduates and young artists. Artsite3 studios has since become a sought after space for professinals at varying stages of their careers.
Our annual studio award offered to a HCA graduate was born out of Artsite3s commitment to promoting new talent. Awarded on commitment and passion for their practice, the prize provides the graduate with the opportunity to develop their professional career alongside a community of artists and designers in a years free studio space. To date, the majority of winners have gone on to take up permanent spaces within Artsite3.
2014 saw Artsite3's largest intake of HCA graduates, when judging for our annual studio award we were so impressed by the standard of applicants we decided to reconfigure the (already full to capacity) studio so that we could offer studios to two extra graduates in addition to the studio award.
